李威廉教授出生于中国，1982年前往美国及加拿大深造音乐，开启其国际化音乐生涯。1988年，应邀赴英国著名的YehudiMenuhinSchool任教，并与传奇小提琴大师Yehudi Menuhin共事长达八年。在此期间，他师从著名教育家Mauricio Fuks，逐步形成了独具特色且广受推崇的小提琴教学理念与体系。
李教授被公认为英国乃至国际乐坛最成功、最具影响力的小提琴教育家之一，先后执教于多所世界顶尖音乐学府，包括RoyalNorthern College of Music、Chetham's School of Music、Royal Birmingham Conservatoire以及China Conservatory of Music等。
在三十余年的国际教学实践中，李教授培养了大批杰出的青年小提琴演奏家。他的学生在众多世界顶级赛事中屡获殊荣，包括MenuhinCompeti tion、International Tchaikovsky Competition、Wieniawski Violin Com petition及Royal Over-Seas League比赛等。

Professor William Li was born in China and began his international musical journey in 1982, pursuing advanced studies in the United States and Canada.
In 1988, he was invited to join the faculty of the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in the United Kingdom, where he worked closely with the legendary Yehudi Menuhin for eight years. During this formative period, he studied under the renowned peda gogue Mauricio Fuks and developed a distinctive and highly respected approach to violin teaching.
Professor Li is widely recognized as one of the most successful and influential violin teachers in the UK and internationally He has held teaching positions at leading conservatoires and specialist music institutions, including the Royal Northern College of Music,Chetham's School of Music. RovalBirmingham Conservatoire,and the China Conservatory of Music.
Over a distinguished international teaching career spanning more than three decades, Professor Li has nurtured generations of outstanding young violinists. His students have achieved top prizes in major international competitions, including the Menuhin Competition, International Tchaikovsky Competition, Wieniawski Violin Competition, and the Royal Over-Seas League Competition.
Most remarkably, nearly one hundred of his students have gone on to secure principal and signiicant positions in leading orchestras around the world, a testament to both their artistry and his mentorship, His students have also consistently excelled at the BBC Young Musician competition, reaching the finals for over ten donsecutive years and winning the title twice.
His teaching philosophy and work at Chetham's were featured in a national television documentary broadcast on BBC Four, highlighting his dedication to developing not only technical excellence but also musical depth, individuality, and artistic integrity.
In addition to his institutional roles, Professor Li is regularly invited to present masterclasses, workshops, and summer courses across Europe, North America, and Asia, He is also the founder of the lnternational Violin Sonata Course, a unique program devoted to advancing the study and performance of violin sonata repertoire.
Through his lifelong commitment to education, Professor Li has made a profound and lasting contribution to violin pedagogy worldwide, shaping the next generation ofinternational performers and musical leaders.
